TThe Verander (formerly New Holland Apartments) – Historic Living Reimagined in Danville, Illinois

Welcome to The Verander, a thoughtfully renovated historic apartment community in Danville, Illinois. Formerly known as New Holland Apartments, this landmark property has been revitalized to preserve its historic character while creating comfortable, affordable homes designed for today’s residents.

The name Verander reflects a spirit of transformation and renewal. Inspired by the Dutch word meaning “change,” it represents the next chapter for this longtime Danville community—honoring its past while creating a refreshed place for residents to call home.

Originally constructed in two sections—the northern portion in 1906 and the southern portion in 1927—The Verander has been part of Danville’s history for more than a century. A comprehensive renovation completed in 2025 brings new life to the property through updated residences, refreshed community spaces, and improvements designed around modern living.

The Verander offers studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes with features designed for comfortable everyday living. Community amenities include:
